Lord Speaks Truth shock!

In a remarkable turn of events a Peer of the Realm, Lord Digby Jones was heard to speak the truth before a commons committee. He stated that while working as a civil servant:

"I was amazed, quite frankly, at how many people deserved the sack and yet that was the one threat that they never ever worked under, because it doesn't exist."
Having worked for local authorities and central government I have to agree with him. Your local councils are bloated with clock watchers and incompetents who drudge along day by day filling time with pointless meetings that achieve little while complaining about the consultants and suppliers who actually do the work.

Your money pays for idiots to waste time because sacking them is just too much of a pain in the ass.

Nevermind the gap

Feeling like a tourist in London now I've been away for 6 months. The
barriers on the Jubilee extension are still cool though.

Convoy!

Nearly 5 hours of shitty traffic later and we are on the home stretch. Boy is it pretty! Like a scene from the lion, the witch and the wardrobe.

Cold start.

It took us nearly an hour to get the ice off the car. All in convoy to chamonix via le macdo for breakfast.

One day like this a year will see me right.

Sunshine on the mountains, the squeak of fresh snow under the board and the swoosh of powder turns. I live for days like this!
